The ICTC continues to follow the Governor’s Wolf’s mandate for school closures. According to the last update, all schools in the Commonwealth will remain closed indefinitely as a response to the COVID-19 mitigation efforts. ICTC has posted it’s Continuity of Education Plan in an effort to inform students and parents about our current plan of instruction.
The ICTC will continue to monitor this situation closely. We are working with sending school Districts, the ARIN IU28, post-secondary institutions and industry certification providers to assist us in offering meaningful educational opportunities to keep our students engaged in the educational process.
The Indiana County Technology Center (ICTC) participates in a variety of financial aid programs. Students must meet the eligibility requirements of these programs in order to participate. It is recommended that students apply for financial aid as early as possible in order to allow sufficient time for application processing. Financial aid must be approved, and all necessary documentation completed, before the aid can be applied toward tuition and fees. Financial aid is awarded on a yearly basis; therefore, depending on the length of the program and date of enrollment it may be necessary to reapply for aid for each award year, or to apply for financial aid more than once during the calendar year.
Please note that all financial aid programs and agencies, including Federal Financial Aid, have their own independent criteria for eligibility. Not all programs will qualify for all types of financial aid.
Questions regarding financial aid can be directed to the Financial Aid Office at 724-349-6700 x160
Students are advised to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Completion of the FAFSA allows the ICTC to determine eligibility for Federal PELL Grants and/or Federal Direct Student Loans. The FAFSA may be completed online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Federal Financial Aid recipients must meet the following minimum eligibility requirements in addition to demonstrating need:
A past drug conviction may or may not affect aid eligibility. Applicants should still file a FAFSA.
Students who are in default on a previous student loan or owe an overpayment to the U.S. Department of Education must resolve the default or overpayment prior to being eligible to receive aid.
The Indiana County Technology Center is now eligible to offer private student loans through the SallieMae Career Training Smart Option Student Loan Program!
