The ICTC continues to follow the Governor’s Wolf’s mandate for school closures. According to the last update, all schools in the Commonwealth will remain closed indefinitely as a response to the COVID-19 mitigation efforts. ICTC has posted it’s Continuity of Education Plan in an effort to inform students and parents about our current plan of instruction.
The ICTC will continue to monitor this situation closely. We are working with sending school Districts, the ARIN IU28, post-secondary institutions and industry certification providers to assist us in offering meaningful educational opportunities to keep our students engaged in the educational process.

One of the unique benefits of attending the Indiana County Technology Center is the opportunity for real world experience. Digital Communications students, Seth Jordan and David Lenze, recently took advantage of such an opportunity when they were hired to photograph a national conference held in Pittsburgh.
The Natural Areas Association hosted their annual national conference in Pittsburgh on October 8th and 9th. Over the summer, former student and current NAA employee, Macey Bates, reached out to inquire about photography services. Mrs. Brubaker, Digital Communications Instructor, offered the opportunity to interested students, who were then placed in a pool of qualified candidates. Selection of students were based upon electronic portfolio submissions. Seth Jordan, Homer Center Senior, and David Lenze, Indiana Junior, and were hired directly by NAA personnel to perform photography and video services during the event.
Over the course of the two day conference, both Seth and David worked one-on-one with NAA personnel to provide professional photography and video clips of the event. They are currently working to construct a follow-up promotional video for the conference as well. And as usual, the ICTC is continuing its reputation of fulfilling demand for qualified, skilled professionals, as echoed by Macey Bates, Operations Assistant, “Seth and David did a fantastic job and acted with complete professionalism! We will definitely keep them and the Digital Communications Program in mind for future events!”
The ICTC would like to thank the Natural Areas Association for this opportunity for both of the students.
