Students from the Indiana County Technology Center are participating in the Skills USA 2019 Western Region Fall Leadership Conference this week at Seven Springs. This year, there are 20 students attending the three day conference from November 6-8.

The Leadership Conference prepares Skills USA members for success in the world of work by providing workshops on soft skills, professional development and leadership skills. Problem-solving, goal-setting, and leadership are emphasized throughout these workshops. The students will also participate in games and team building activities. The Conference also provides opportunities for students to showcase their work through contests. The competitions focus on certain skills that the students work on in their tech classes, including pin design, photography, banner design, door hangings, and many more. The twenty students travelling to Seven Springs for this conference are from the following courses: Graphics and Electronic Media, Cosmetology, Digital Communications, Carpentry, Machining Technology, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Health Occupations, Collision Repair, and Masonry. It’s an honor for these twenty students to represent the ICTC and their courses at such a large conference.
