According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of carpenters is expected to grow 8 percent through 2028 – much faster than average. Carpenters are skilled in all phases of residential construction beginning with design and layout and working through the final stages of interior and exterior finishing and trim installations. If you are a creative individual who enjoys hands-on work, Carpentry could be a great career for you!

Program Description

ICTC’s Carpentry program is endorsed by the Pennsylvania Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders! Students receive hands-on instruction providing the skills necessary to enter the Carpentry field.

You’ll learn carpentry-related theory and skills through a competency-based instructional framework where you demonstrate your ability to safely preform specific job-related tasks. You’ll also be exposed to the advancing technology that impacts Carpentry through improved tools, equipment, and materials. Field trips, on-site project experiences, and repeated training in primary skill areas help ensure you’re well-prepared for your career.

Certifications

  • OSHA ten-hour “Constructions Safety and Health” Certification
  • Bobcat VersaHandler Telescopic Forklift Certification
