Do you have a flair for cooking and want to use those skills in a new career in the food service industry? According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs for Chefs and Head Cooks are expected to grow faster than most jobs over the next eight years. For those who enjoy preparing exciting cuisines and have an eye towards business ventures, culinary training is the foundation to begin a career in this industry.

The National Restaurant Association reports that the food service industry continues to grow, making Culinary Arts an excellent career choice. Culinary training can be utilized in diverse settings such as restaurants, resorts, country clubs, hotels, cruise ships and airlines.

Program Description:

The ICTC Culinary Arts program is certified by the American Culinary Federation Foundation, which means it meets key standards and competencies set for faculty, curriculum and student services. Our Culinary Arts program provides students with training that can be utilized in many settings, such as restaurants, resorts, country clubs, hotels, cruise ships and airlines.

Experienced instructors will help you learn the fundamentals of safety, sanitation, nutrition, food preparation, and menu planning. Further, you’ll gain practical work experience at our full-service restaurant and through various catering projects, allowing you to refine your table service skills as well as dining room management techniques.

Certifications

Students who qualify may obtain their ServSafe Sanitation Certification.
