The Indiana County Technology Center’s Skills USA Chapter will represent District 8 Skills USA at State Competitions in April. Seventeen ICTC students will be competing in Hershey.

The State Competitions are held for all Skills USA participants who place first during their respective District Competitions. Students from all over the State of Pennsylvania will come together to battle for first place victories and a chance to move on to National Championships in June. There are over 14 categories of competitions at the State Level. This is an opportunity for students to showcase their skills and knowledge while networking with peers and industry professionals. ICTC Students competing in this year’s competition include Sasha Decker, Troy Lewis, Rachel Schwartz, Tessa Nelen, Lauren Miller, Felicity Regan, Seth Roman, Kyle Gyenes, Nicholas Roberts, James Anderson, Savannah Yugovich, Jennifer Lomman, Kyla Clarke, Spencer McKee, Taylor Painter, Zack Zombotti, and Timothy Gaffey.

Skills USA is a national organization geared to help students in Career and Technical education excel as leaders in their industry. The Skills USA experiences help members build confidence, leadership skills, and provide a platform for student success through regional and national competitions. Skills USA for ICTC has great leadership. Leaders that care about the student body and want to have a great year. The Leadership Conference is a great example of how students benefit from this amazing organization.
