ICTC Students Receive Pennsylvania Foundation for Housing Student Recognition Award

The Workforce Training and Education Committee of the Pennsylvania Builders Association awards 12 students in the state of PA the Pennsylvania Foundation for Housing Students Recognition Award. Three Indiana County Technology Center students were recently announced as recipients of this award.

The Pennsylvania Builders Association (PBA) sponsors this annual award which recognizes student achievement in the industry. In order to be considered for the award, students must be members of the National Home Builders Student Chapter, be a part of the Endorsed Trade Program, hold a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher, have plans to continue in the construction industry and finally, be affiliated with their local chapter of the PBA. Students are nominated by their instructors for their integrity, proven performance, and their overall enthusiasm for construction. Timothy Gaffey, (Masonry), Joshua Stephens, (HVAC), and Timothy Baker (Carpentry), have each received the honor of this award. These students truly exemplify the qualities that represent the construction cluster at the ICTC. In addition to earning the recognition, these students will also receive a $100 check to assist with short and long-term goals associated with their future in the construction industry.
