ICTC SUPPORTS THE HERITAGE CONFERENCE

Digital Media Technology Student, Aubrie Putt, produced the animations displayed during the Heritage Conference basketball playoffs on February 10th.

The Indiana County Technology Center recently had the opportunity to join forces with the Heritage Conference. Indiana County Technology Center’s (ICTC) Digital Media Technology (DMT) and Graphics and Electronic Media (GEM) Programs were able to use their expertise to develop some creative projects. The projects were used in the February 10th basketball playoff games hosted at the Kovalchick Center.

DMT and GEM quickly offered their expertise in graphics and digital productions. GEM recreated two logos and printed a large fathead of Saltsburg player, Skylor Sphon. DMT’s Aubrie Putt created customized animations for each game. In addition, Kateri Johnston and Gavin Miller, both of DMT, produced introduction videos for each competing team. Kateri produced the video for West Shamokin’s Girl’s Team, and Gavin Miller produced the remaining videos for Ligonier Valley Boys, Homer Center Girls, and Saltsburg Boys Basketball teams. The projects were developed under very stringent deadlines. ICTC was represented at the Heritage Conference with a table set up in the lobby of the KCAC, highlighting ICTC’s dedication to our sending schools and Career and Technical Education.

The Heritage Conference is a group of ten schools that showcase academics and athletics and highlight the hard work of students in our area. The ICTC was proud to support the Heritage Conference this year.
