Indiana County Technology Center hosted Indiana County Commissioners

The Indiana County Technology Center hosted Indiana County Commissioners, Robin Gorman, Michael Keith, and Sherene Hess on October 7th, 2021.
The Commissioners expressed excitement and enthusiasm with the progressive changes reflected on campus, the students and staff here at ICTC appreciate the time that the Commissioners took out of their day to visit and tour our facility!
Our Culinary Arts Students did a wonderful job working with WCCC’s Oktoberfest! Great job everyone! Here is what Jennifer Eckels the Director of WCCC had to say:
“I can’t tell you enough what a wonderful job Chef Nagy and his students did at our Oktoberfest Continuing Education class last night. It was amazing! They really knocked it out of the park. The guests raved about the food and the well-organized demonstration. I heard several times that the food was amazing. I can say that after sampling some myself, that I am in full agreement. I heard endless comments, especially about the apple strudel. Many of the guests want to know what is next, and Chef Nagy and I talked briefly of doing a spring event. I just wanted to say thank you to you, Chef Nagy and the students who made this possible. You really have an amazing team!”
In October 2021, the Machining Program of the Indiana County
Technology Center successfully completed a rigorous evaluation and earned the National Institute for Metal Working Skills Accreditation. NIMS Accreditation is the nation’s only distinction for excellence in manufacturing training. Accredited programs demonstrate the ability to produce skilled, work-ready individuals that fulfill industry’s 21st Century workforce needs. Students enrolled in the ICTC NIMS Accredited Program can earn up to 9 Level 1 NIMS Credentials. NIMS Credentials provide a competitive edge to graduates when applying for jobs because they have demonstrated that their skills meet industry standards. Congratulations to the instructors and the
students of ICTC!
